This event will focus on space welding and how NASA and its partners are using high energy density welding – not just for space but in space. Hear about the physical processes of welding on the Moon, Mars, and beyond. Learn how NASA, universities, and industry are working together to investigate laser beam welding in reduced gravity, in a vacuum, and at extreme temperatures like those found in space. Following the presentation, participants will have the opportunity to ask questions and learn about the presenter’s career journey.
