The Amentum Space Tech Challenge is a national competition hosted on HeroX where individuals or teams submit proposals to address the challenges of long-term lunar habitation. Topics include reducing cargo shipments, mining lunar resources, protecting against radiation, managing lunar dust, and more. Submissions open August 14 and close September 29. Finalists will present proposals on October 13, with winners announced November 14. Cash prizes are awarded to the top three entries. Open to all U.S. citizens (non-citizens may enter but are ineligible for prizes). This is a great opportunity for students and faculty to share innovative ideas beyond traditional STEM fields.
